Position Summary: We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategy in the insurance industry. This role will be crucial in ensuring robust financial management, guiding strategic direction, and maintaining compliance across various insurance segments, including ACA, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, and Life Insurance. The ideal candidate will be a bilingual professional fluent in English and Spanish, with proven experience managing relationships in both languages. Taking the company to the next level.
Key Responsibilities: - Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Industry-Specific Expertise: Apply extensive knowledge of ACA, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, and Life Insurance to guide financial planning and decision-making.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively address financial impacts.
- Payer & Customer Relations:
- Compliance & Governance:
- Team Management
- Effective communication in English and Spanish to the US and Colombian teams
Requirements: - 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, specifically within the insurance industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CFA
- Must be completely fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Experience in the health insurance sector
- KPIS management
- Constant monitoring of the Project
- Weekly reports on implementations
- “Click up” knowledge – Project Management Software desired
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology
- Advanced Excel and Power Bi
- Previous experience leading or managing a team, a plus
- Knowledge in financial projection
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to think holistically about business operations and use financial insights to drive strategy.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing successful financial initiatives and delivering results.
- Experience with financial processes, regulations, and best practices specific to the insurance sector.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Proficiency in project management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry.
- Experience with financial management in LATAM countries is a plus.
